Bethany United Church of Christ — Contra & Square Dances — 4250 N. Paulina in Chicago  (1 1/2 blocks south of Montrose;  one block west of Ashland).  Most of the Monday night dances are held here - check the schedule to be sure.  The Monday dances are at 8pm with a beginners' workshop before the dance.  Usually $7 at the door.  Call 312-405-9173 for more information.

The Abbey Pub — Contra & Square Dances  — 3420 W. Grace in Chicago, just off Elson Avenue.  Street parking.  Monday night dances will be held here several times a month; dates vary.  See the calendar for more information.  Dances start at 8pm; beginner's workshop before the dance.  Cost is $7 at the door.

S.P.A.C.E.  in Evanston — Contra & Square Dances — 1245 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, just south of Dempster.  The Monday night dances are usually held here once a month; dates vary.  See the calendar for more information.  Dances start at 8pm; beginner's workshop before the dance.  Cost is $7 at the door.

Fermilab — Contra & Square Dances — At the Fermilab barn, west of Warrenville - enter from Batavia Road.  Dances 2nd Sundays at 6:30 pm, and  3rd Sundays at 2 pm. $5 at the door.  (September through June).  Call (630) 897-3655.   Sponsored by the  Fox Valley Folklore Society and the Fermilab Folk Club.

St. Mark's Church - English Country Dances — At St. Mark's Church, 1509 Ridge Ave. in Evanston (corner of Ridge & Grove).  Dances are on Wednesdays at 8pm.  Usually $5 at the door.

Hyde Park  -  Ida Noyes Hall - Contra & Square Dances  on the University of Chicago campus — Usually 1st Saturdays.  Sponsored by the University of Chicago Folk Arts Community.

Epiphany Episcopal Church - Contra & Square Dances - 201 S. Ashland, corner of Ashland and Adams in Chicago.  Cost is $7 at the door.
